Run for president Boone. http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/BooneforPresident

Building nuclear power plants is not the solution to the problem. Subsidising citezens change of gasoline burning vehicles and establishing relueling stations is one part of the answer. Future exploration of Geothermal power generation, hydrogen fuel for all vehicles, whether fuel cells or outright fuel is the answer. Like Iceland has mandated, the whole country will be totaly independant of fossil fuels by 2020 is needed. Why can't someone like Kennedy make such a mandate for getting a man on the moon. Isn't this just as important? Yhankyou

Edwin Knox Says:

Building nuclear power plants is not a solution, just another problem. Do we have to go through that debate again? Wind, Solar, Water, Geothermal

JP Scurry Sr. Says:

Lets start pushing a national 55 speed limit

Jane Leslie Reynolds Shull Says:

Where I live, TV ads are running currently in which local farmers and politicians complain that one small underground gas line will cost them their livelihoods and destroy the environment. The level of ignorance w/ respect to the potential benefits of introducing the modern industry of energy into a visually beautiful but economically stagnant local economy has led me to call this "The Can't Do Attitude" held by The Can't Do'ers". Every time we (or the candidates or other citizens) refer to a solution from the past, numerous disaster scenarios can be recalled and used as excuses not to go "there". The oil spills, explosions and infernos are easily envisioned by the Can't Do'ers, who can then infect the Undecideds with Fear. Last week I got infected with the Pickens Plan's Can Do attitude and signed up. If John McCain is at least MENTIONING natural gas as part of the solution, we need to give him some talking points to get him out ahead of the Can't Do'ers. He and especially Sarah Palin in tomorrow's debate - are in a position to articulate a vision of the possibility of the Industry of Energy in the 21st Century - in which the Whole Ecology of the North American Continent, Information Technology, and the Brilliant Genius of the American Can-Do Attitude could lead the Can Do'ers in the rest of the world into our Can Do way of thinking. Let's leave the Can't Doer's live in the the dust (and emissions) of the past "solutions". Having lived, studied and worked all around the world, I believe the world is not blaming and condemning us, but anxiously awaiting our innovative (and never-before-imagined)response to the world-wide financial and ecological challenges we all face. Someone on CSpan just said it - "Churchill said the Americans always do the right thing after exhausting all the wrong ideas". Let's do it. Let's lead. We need to get Sarah Palin some talking points about how the Can-Do'ers can proceed from here. I tuned in too late to participate in last week's debate but I'll be there tomorrow nite with you all. THanks for including me. Jane
