Clean air and energy supply are bi-partisan issues. Initially my reaction to your video was the same as other environmental bloggers: however, I know first hand and heartily support your committment to renewable energy, such as solar and windtricity, and clean energy such as natual gas to reduce smog and global warming. Your "Clean Energy" team assisted me in building San Antonio, Texas' first municipal natural gas station, which provides 90% cleaner burning fuel to reduce smog and global warming. Thanks go to you and your team! However, if you support one political candidate over the other, you will allienate half of America, and many of your clean energy supporters which we need to address the energy supply and global warming issues. America needs to work together on a bi-partisan energy plan to quickly build the intrastructure for renewables, harness the abundant sun's energy with solar structures, and tap into Texas' 200 year supply of cleaner burning natural gas. Although clean air and energy supply are bi-partisan issues, one energy plan is clearly trailing the other. That's why it is critically important that we work together on an intellegent, unified energy plan. Palin's "Drill, baby, drill" in Alaska (as that's what she knows) without mentioning a plan for renewables, or cleaner burning natural gas, makes at least half of the American people shudder and wince. Instead, let's work on a bi-partisan, intelligent, unified energy plan to solve our energy supply and global warming issues, rather than fighting each other. We're the American people and together we can accomplish much! Sincerely, Rose Ryan, Government Environmental Professional

Mike Says:

Mr. Pickens has clearly stated that the Pickens Plan must be implemented by whichever party candidate gets elected in November. Our mission here is to call for an Energy Independence Plan to be enacted within the first 100 days of the new administration. This movement is open to all Americans regardless of who you are voting for in the presidential election. Regardless of who you vote for, the $700,000,000,000 affects everything else that is important to you. Neither party nor candidate will accomplish anything if America is bankrupt. Let's focus on the goal which is 100 days into the next administration and leave the party politics out of it. I don't care who you are voting for or why - there are other venues for that. I am just glad you are here supporting the Pickens Plan.

Larry Pope Says:

T. Boone Pickens is a total asshole as far as I'm concerned. He led the charge against John Kerry for sure and more than likely against Al Gore to help create the worst leader the United States has ever seen. Because of T. Boone Pickens we have an idiot President who has caused the destruction of the American economy, the lives of thousands of American soldiers and the lives of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians. His actions have also caused the uneccessary destruction of the livelyhoods of millions of Iraqis. No, the world is not better off with Saddam Hussein gone. Ask any Iraqi. Pickens has now chosen to back the obvious change that is needed to release America from the strangle hold of foreign oil and put us on the road to clean, cheaper and domestic solutions to our energy crisis. Does this free him of responsibility of helping place us in the economic predicament we are in? Of course not. It does however help to sway those who have scoffed at the idea that America needs more than oil to create a more stable and economically viable future. I hope this helps to save his soul from everlasting destruction from his earlier crimes agains humanity. Because he seems unrepentant of those actions, I doubt it will help him.

Mark Van Watteghem Says:

Hello I am Mark Van from Windsor,Ontario,Canada. I have a very strong feeling towards what is right and what needs to be upgraded. For too long we have been subjected to this oil stranglehold on both of our countries. I have had enough, how about you? I have a plan and some ideas of my own. I own a Heating and Cooling/Mechanical business and believe that first we must tackle the high prices we pay to our utilities and natural gas companies. I propose that all homeowners, businesses, farms, and industrial institutions get on the green energy grid now or as quickly as possible. Five things we all can do to get to a more stable environment; 1-Install Geothermal ground source heat pumps to heat and cool all structures; 2-Install as much wind and solar to each said structure as needed for independence; 3-Get vehicles onto natural gas, retro-fit or new; 4-Add green roofs and green walls; 5-Water retension and filtration for re-use. With all sorts of grants and subsidies along with costs dropping to affordable levels there is no reason for not going towards these simple goals and stay the course. It will take time to heal both of our countries, but if we are to get out of this situation we are both in then we must clean up our acts. My own home is going to be a model of what is to be a new green home and hope to share my expertise elsewhere in North America and beyond.

douglas staab Says:

Attitudes and partisan comments like Mr. Pope's will not advance energy independence and will only serve to encourage similar input and partisan actions. Mr. Picken's soul is hardly relevant to the subject at hand.

Egan Oconnor Says:

T. Boone Pickens is a REAL patriot who, when most rich men would be resting, is working very, very hard to save this country from the insanity of sending $700 billion abroad every year to buy dirty oil whose consumption will ruin the planet for posterity. Hail to Mr. Pickens! Ms. Egan O'Connor, San Francisco

A. Ortiz Says:

thank you T. boone Pickens
