Boone,
Thanks for pushing for energy independence. Helping Americans see the need has been one of your strongest messages. I would like to see you augment the message with an additional point.
Most would agree that we need it to help with the environmental impact. Most would agree that we need to cut the flow of money out of the country for oil, in order to help with our own financial sustainability.
What I think most might not think deeply enough about is that using renewable energy in our manufacturing processes can eventually cut the cost of the goods that we produce here, making them more price competitive in the world market! Although initial investments in hardware infrastructure (power grids, turbines, photovoltaics) will cost us, the cost of the energy itself is "free". Lowered-cost energy for manufacturing means we can keep worker's salaries at reasonable levels and still produce products that compete favorably in price.
I haven't heard much of this argument in your presentation, and wondered if you agree that reduction in the cost of manufacturing is a very convincing point to be made.

while I feel the plan should be to convert our enerty grid to decentralized where every home and business has their own power supply, be it solar, geothermal, or wind. And under my strategy it pays for itself, I have to applaud you for putting you money where your mouth is and wish you every success.

A message for Arnold Swartzenager, if I where the gov, I would have my state hard at work implementing my strategy that pays for itself, particularly at a time when you cannot balance your budget.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks for all your hard work. This tribute is a nice talk from a bunch of windbags, but you are the real deal putting your money where your mouth is and doing something instead of just talking about it. America needs more finishers like you. We are all marching behind you and your cause and message is shared. Thank you for making our voices heard and counted at last thru your efforts.

How did America get started? It was the Declaration of Independence. How will America continue on its path of prosperity in these difficult times? It will be defeat of foreign oppression tactics through the execution of THE ONLY ENERGY INDEPENDENCE PLAN:Pickens Plan. Know that American soldiers and citizens will to fight to victory as we continue our collective pursuit of happiness and freedom.
Mr. Boone Pickens, thank you for your hard, dedicated work in helping to make America significantly more energy independent in the near future. It takes someone like you to lead this great nation in the right direction when we are at war (energy war). The people of the United States are smart and generous people, and it would be a shame to have our country come to its knees because of special interest and greed. We salute you, Mr. Pickens, so please keep up the good work because we believe in you and your plan.

Thank God for a leader who knows how to talk our language and empower us to insist on change from our leaders. I am glad to be a part of your Army. GO BOONE!!
Dear Mr. Pickens,
I signed up to serve in the army last summer because I believe in your plan. Ever since then, I've been fighting the good fight with you. Thank you so much for your knowledge, leadership and financial support that has helped Americans put our federal representatives on the right track. You are truly one great American and I'll keep fighting along with you until we get this plan in place. It has been and continues to be an honor. Thanks for the opportunity.

Way to go Pickens! I'm so glad someone is seriously taking the initiative on the nation-wide level to resolve this incredibly important issue. We can wish our green hearts out, but it is you who is really helping those dreams become a reality. I applaud your efforts and look forward to the future of energy independence.
Best wishes-

It's time to find a small town that needs to replace some of their fleet and work with General Motors to get some of those natural gas powered vehicles, even if it is only 5 or 6 new trucks or cars. Make a big splash with tv, radio and newpaper coverage. show that is works and can be done by small towns, and the big ones will get on the program. This would do more good than all the talking heads and all the lobbying congress. It is too big to move easily, all you get is more talk. We've had a year and has any town converted their cars or trucks?
I know a small town that is looking at electric cars but don't know the future of that technology. No one wants to get stuck with the wrong thing in a few years. We have the natural gas to keep cars running for a long time.
Enough talk, take action!
We are the Pickens Plan army. I propose that we have a uniform, shirt, or jacket. I propose that it have the Pickens web url stitched in large letters on the back. I have found that non-tech savvy individuals are interested in being in the "Pickens Army" but there is a need for more exposure for that group. Many of those are the older people who have the time and desire to dedicate their activities to the Pickens Plan.
Contact me if you will consider working on this.
That is a good idea Nancy, there are a lot of older people who are so busy they don't have time to read these comments. A nice enexpensive T-shirt would start a conversation with a friend or neighbor but be affordable for everyone.
I like the T-shirt idea, it would encourage more conversation about the plan and if you put the peoples names on it like we saw in the video it would show that this wind energy plan has both Republican and Democrate alike for it. This could lead to more of the everyday person becoming more aware of this great plan for energy.
I live in central Pennsylvania and as part of my travels for my own business I see giant windmills off the highway going northeast on Moosic Mountain. I feel a sense of pride in Americans taking these first steps towards our reduction of foreign sources of energy and environmental responsibility. I am a businessman first and recognize that the economics of this have to work long term, but with increased investment and broader deployment, the economies of scale and efficiencies will come. The other benefit is this project and others like it is it keeps the land much more pristine than the development of strip malls, office buildings and tracts and tracts of housing units. Well done Boone. I’m proud to be a part of it.
