It is so encouraging to see Republicans and Democrats come together to put America first. I salute Senators Menendez, Burr, Chambliss and Majority Leader Reid for recognizing that we need a fiscally responsible energy policy that cuts dependence on foreign oil while creating American jobs, lifting our economy, enhancing our national security, and protecting our environment.

There is a site where you can vote for H R 1380 and your vote and comments (optional) will be forwarded to your congresspersons and posted on the site. It is free, non-partisan, and they don't hassle you with emails. There is nothing to subscribe to, however for free you can "track" the progress of a bill and receive notification by email of any changes or progress made. You can view all bills in congress, see their co-sponsors, see the organizations supporting and opposing the bill, and see how the votes are trending. So far, 2199 people have cast their vote on H R 1380, 38% in support of, 62% opposing. We need to turn that around, lest congress get the wrong picture. With an army of over 1 million supporters, we could do that today. Vote at govtrack dot us. This site has the bills and links to popvox dot com for the voting. Both are great sites to keep up with what congress is doing. Or not doing as the case is. I hope after you vote, a few of you will come back here and verify the accuracy of what I have said about the site. I continue to search the site for the natural gas act of 2011 introduced in the senate yesterday, but it is not yet online.

John Wesley Nobles CA State Ldr Says:

It is gratifying to see the Senate's version of the bill passed. The tireless efforts of Mr. Pickens and the Army got it this far and will in the end carry the day toward an Energy Policy. This could not have happened without Mr. Pickens. He will do what 9 President's haven't. Thank you Mr. Pickens!

Peter C Roberts Says:

Great progress!! THANK YOU for your LEADERSHIP with our elected folks who need all of us to HELP THEM to HELP US. I salute your enthusiastic approach to letting us regular folks be part of the Team!! Sincerely, Dr Peter C Roberts

NORM Says:

Mr. Pickens: You are a great American Patriot. I applaud all of the hard work you have done to promote Energy Independence. As you say, "the issue of Energy Independence is a hard one to be against". Respectfully, as our leader I ask you to consider calling for a 6 A.M. to 6 P.M. occupation of the steps of our nation's capitol (no sleep overs) every day the House and Senate are in session until they bring to the floor of their respective camber for a vote the Nat Gas Act of 2011 and H.R. 1380. I would be happy to join the occupation the next time I am in DC. Maybe others will join us when they know that passage of the Nat. Gas. Act of 2011 will create millions of jobs over night. Maybe we can convince Congress to turn the "Oil Depletion Allowance" into the "Energy Independence Allowance" whereby the Oil Companies keep their allowance to the exent they use the allowance to build natrual gas refueling stations along our intersate highways with any balance becoming available as funds to pay "cash to converters" of 18 wheelers to run on Nat Gas. "If we built it they will come". This one law will create millions of jobs overnight. Time to "OCCUPY THE CAPITOL DURING BUSINESS HOURS ONLY". Thank you. Norm

There have been 9 comments left supporting H R 1380 since 5:30 p.m. today. Only one comment today was opposing, but the nay-sayers still have 62% of the vote. Read my post above - we need to have 1 million supporting these bills. These are real votes and are forwarded to your congresspersons with your comments. I receive email replies from my representative and one senator at least. Vague replies usually, but still ..... If the bills fail, there is another bill you can vote for.... H R 204..... a 5% pay cut for all congressmen... my favorite, introduced on Jan 6, 2011 by Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, with Ron Paul as one of the co-sponsors.

Veronica Gold, OH State Leader Says:

All the calls, visits and letters we have sent in support of the Nat Gas Act are paying off for Americans. My thanks go out to Boone Pickens, members of the Pickens Plan and our wonderful co-sponsors of this legislation in the House and Senate. Once this Act passes and natural gas infrastructure materializes, many Americans will be pleasantly surprised by a reduced US footprint in the Gulf States, greater responsibilities assumed by Arab states for their security, choice and lower costs at the pump, a decrease in carbons w/in our atmosphere and hopefully, cheaper prices for food and goods, new technology from American entrepreneurs and a decrease in unemployment. Now is the time to call and write other members of the House and Senate to gain their support for this monumental legislation. With a renewed sense of purpose, let's go team Pickens!!!

The senate bill is S 1863. You can vote for it at the popvox dot com site, but the text is not yet on the govtrack dot us. Nor is it on Thomas dot gov. There is a summary at http://menendez.senate.gov/newsroom/press/release/?id=d478d932-e3a2-4602-a4d6-e4aafac271e9 H R 1380 has received a dozen more supporting votes since yesterday 5:00 p.m., and now stands at 39% supporting and 61% opposing, so we have gained a percentage point. Please go vote. Both these bills should have millions of supporting votes. We need to fight for this in every way we can.

Meanwhile $15 Trillion In Debt, $500 Billion Drug Deal Of OBAMA and before long the clock ticks up to $25 TRILLION. It is Reid that don't know reason, Numbers like this means crunches in energy use, so there is a NAT BILL it will not benefit anyone unless they bite the bullet NAT GAS. Disaster comes in some many words I just don't want to write those words on any webpage, to many terrorist cells that are being funded freely. On Twitter: TheRealMcCain Congress faces funding deadline. Again. bit.ly/v5aRB3 9 mins

Veronica Gold, OH State Leader Says:

Thanks to Dona Ruth Goodwin for Popvox.com and GovTrack. It's important to beat back the naysayers and point to the benefits of the Nat Gas Act for America. I've joined and voted. Please share this with your friends. Thank you.
