I feel that the problem stems much deeper than oil and that it has gone to tyrannical oppression and they are ever so cleverly tightening their grip. Is your plan the first step to address the core concerns of the people who are actually awake and not brainwashed by the media, or do you think all these other problems will go away if we fix this? I heard about the Swiftboat contribution....it is a disturbing. However, our national security and economy is at a high risk due to our dependency and other unfavorable collective behaviors. For me, that swiftboat mentality is not good for our country and I worry because past conduct is the best method for forecasting future conduct. There is a distinctive pattern here with those who practice those tactics. I'm a pure capitalist through and through and I too do not apologize for making a profit. I want to make a profit with a clear conscious (as clear as possible) and I have the capacity to do so. I agree with your position on breaking this oil habit for many reasons. If I support this program, will the profits be donated to more swiftboat-like attacks? I'm a new generation capitalist with new school thinking. We are adapting our skills to a global audience with the intention of improving the human condition for not just Americans but for all those in the world that share this view. We Americans have lost so much. If we can truly turn this energy momentum around in a viable, healthy, direction then I am on board. We must work as one as much as possible and be the next "greatest generation".

Hello Mr. Pickens: 1) You had good coverage on FACE THE NATION this morning. Former V.P. Gore made some statement on your project and his. 2) After seeing your map of the primary wind areas in the U.S. you may want to address for the ARMY of how the wind works in those areas. Note that the front in the winter months start in the NE Alaska, Washington area and move southeast toward Florida, depending upon the upper winds. They do not always get to Texas, and sometime curve to the east coast. With these fronts, the wind is low and parallel to the front in front of the front and as the front approaches a wind farm, the wind starts to pick up. As the front passes the farm, the wind changes directions switching from the southwest to the northwest, and the speed picks up considerable. The wind behind the from will stay fairly high for several days after frontal passage. This will affect the central area of the U.S. at different times, therefore wind farms from the north central part of the U.S. will be different than that at the south central optimum area. If transmission lines were parallel with the optimum area forming and connecting to other grids, where the electrical power could be distributed. Those areas of low wind speeds could be assisted by those areas of high wind speeds to their north. This cycle operates over and over all during the winter months. In the summer, the prevailng winds in the south are from the southeast and usually at a steady speed of 10 to 20 knots which should be enough to turn the propellers and produce electricity. Also, during the summer months we have thunderstorms that produce high winds and therefore could produce higher volumes of electricity making up for those areas that are not producing as much. After watching our local news tonight , we had an incident with our windmills in central Montana that concerns me. We had 1200 migrating bats killed by the windmills. My only concern is what we will do with migrating waterfowl coming through this migration route each year ? How about having discharges going off to keep the waterfowl clear of these areas ? Take it from a waterfowl hunter that believes this may help to keep the waterfowl clear from the windmills.

Mr. Pickens I am very much interested in this project. I truly believe you are on key with solutions to the depentance on foreign oil. I want to know as much as I can about this. Dear Mr. Pickens, Thank you for picking up the glove. We need leaders that will stand and do what is necessary for the future of the country and our children. I've had the same ideas as yourself for many years. When I built custom homes in the Atlanta, Georgia area using geothermal HVAC and very aggressive insulation and building disciplines, I was able to build a 7000 sq.ft. home that would heat and cool for $500.00 a year. At the time most people were not willing to spend the money to have a home like this built. I think now Americans are getting a pretty good taste of what the rest of the world has endured. I've traveled the world and seen enough to know that this is the greatest country in the world. Please don't let anyone steer you away from what you're doing. You got my attention because I was interested in the wind power. You fooled me and I am very disappointed. You were just trying to get into my head by letting me think you were for alternative energy. You really just want to make green money with no real thought to the environment.
