<description>The Pickens Plan is the most comprehensive and thorough plan to address our energy needs in the future. The main quetion is \"will the legislative and executive branches\" of the US Government respond?

All the polls I see indicate that the majority of Americans want a through and comprehensive plan, that is \"explore and develop all resources\" to include drilling in current leased area, off-shore and in Alaska, wind, natural gas, and others.

The approval rating for the legislative branch is approximately 9-14 percent. Nancy Peolosi\'s response in general terms: Poor George Bush, bless his heart, has failed in every aspect. President Bush\'s rating is someing over 30%. The problem as I see it: Each party, Democrat vs Republican, wants to WIN at all costs. And, the attitude seems to be \"TO HELL WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE\" and \"WE KNOW BEST\".

If the House and Senate are hearing what the American people want, then why do that not enact legislation that represents the desires of the majority of American people.

Folks, there is something wrong with the SYSTEM. It is supposed to be \"WE THE PEOPLE\" not \"WE THE ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES ONLY\".

I support the Pickens Plan. Good Luck, Mr. Pickens. You may be fighting a battle that you cannot win. I will support the PLAN in correspondence to the elected representatives from North Carolina.
