I find it strange that Oil has come down $29 a barrel, and gas has only come down 25 cents a gallon.

Solid goal.... achievable, time-tied, realistic! Short and to the point...solid. I live on the east coast near the capital and have not yet seen this spot on TV. Hopefully it will make it this way soon.

The Pickens plan is doable now. The technology is available. The benefits to our society include: (1) the money it costs are spent right here in America. (2) It creates long-term jobs. (3) The environmental costs are minimal. (4) The plan spreads economic benefits widely throughout the country. (5) Every megawatt of energy generated in this fashion reduces the amount of money sent to Middle Eastern terrorists. The energy problem has been ignored for too long. This is a great start- now if we could get EVERYONE to purchase solar electric and solar thermal panels (less expensive), we could put an ever bigger dent in foregin oil dependency signifigantly lower our carbon emmissions. THE TIME IS NOW.

I am very surprised there is no mention of tidal energy as the main source for generating electricity. Tidal forces work all day every day, its not dependent on sunlight or weather conditions. If we learn anything from the situation we are in, is that a nation should never ever be as dependent on one source of energy for their economy and more important is that one industry having the control these corporations have managed to acquire is a disaster and threatens our very Democracy. So sure lets get natural gas online but we need electric, hydrogen, ethanol, air, the works!
