A Personal Note From T. Boone Pickens

Over the past couple days, I met with both Senator John McCain and Senator Barack Obama. I think it’s safe to say that you and I have gotten their attention.

They both mentioned the TV ads about our campaign to end America’s addiction to foreign oil.

I told them both about you and the others who have joined with me in building this army. They are smart men. They know what it means to have over 4 million people visit your website. They know what it means to have hundreds of thousands joining.

Pickens and McCain     Pickens and Obama

And they knew what it meant when I told them that there will be over a million of us by the time this election happens - that we’ll be ready to make big things happen when one of them becomes the next president.

These meetings would not have happened if you hadn’t taken the time to come to the website and sign up - I can’t thank you enough.

I think that's real swell of Boone to give them a heads up on what we are going to accomplish here at http://www.pickensplan.com. They can get a ride with us to the Wind Corridor.
I think having a 4 million website visitors and hoping to have a million in the plan by election time, is what I call "citizens advanced lobbying". If this doesn't unnerve the "real lobbyist" of big oil, I would be very surprised. Keep at it T. Boone Brigitte Andrade

While it's rather doubtful either candidate will come right out and give the Pickens Plan their full endorsement, they obviously recognize the magnitude of Mr. Pickens campaign and, as a result, are bringing the energy issue to the forefront. It will be interesting, to say the least, to see what develops as we get closer and closer to election time. One thing is for certain: The Pickens Plan community has a voice and it's being heard. www.pickensplanopportunity.com

I enlist! I am sure a feasibility study is already underway up and down the wind corridor regarding the properties to be used, along with the contacts with the National Governor's Association and the National Association of Attorneys General, identifying the key wind corridor states represenatives to work in tandem on the spectrum of public policy/land issues. We cannot wait for a federal consensus at this point to begin the work, waiting for a change over in the executive branch's staffing...we have to go to work in our individual states. I will call my Governor's office today to find out who their point person is on the plan. Time to roll out a corrollary to the much talked about "industrial plan" of the 1940's. This is OUR MARSHALL PLAN...let's get going! Thanks Mr. Pickens! Janet Monteros Austin, Texas

I bet McCain get even WHITER when he saw you walking towards him. McCain/Pence are some of the biggest OIL MEN OUT THERE and will PUSH the OIL AGENDA anytime and EVERYtime. I'm surprised McCain's staff let you get even close to him. He probably just wants to be able to say in the next debate, " Yeah, I've met with leaders of the Wind Power industry to look at alternatives to Big Oil." Yeah, right...lol... The Pickens plan has only one chance ...and the Pickens Plan will only be POSSIBLE under an Obama administration. If McCain is elected, he and his Pence-like constituents will make sure Mr. Pickens and all his anti Big Oil ideas go away.
