Boone is correct, a basic economic rule is, if the demand is there and you can not increase supply any more, prices can only go up. Therefore, we must unite as AMERICANS and take care of business.. The only way to keep this non-partisan is for both parties to adopt it into their platform. Regardless of the presidential candidate position, it will be congress that will determine whether it goes forward or not.

Congress will have to enact something, but they are totally partisan and reactive to the political winds at this point. We need a President who will DRAG them kicking and screaming to deal with the IMPORTANT issues, rather than just the politically 'urgent' ones. We need LEADERSHIP. Bush has, sadly, been a complete loss in this regard, for eight years. Either candidate should be a huge improvement.
