Exactly!
We have an old saying when selling new technology in the tech industry; so what!? If you can\'t explain exactly what it will do for me; so what! So what\'s in it for me? If you/we can spell it out in terms I/we can understand for my ongoing transportation needs, then I can consider it and make an \"investment\" decision; AND, since gas is \"coincidentally\" cheap again, we need to show the \"math that makes sense\"; that this problem isn\'t going away and an investment now will save you a lot down the road; we\'ve got the momentum; just need to provide the incentives. And, as suggested above, where are the first places to start?

Gentlemen - We\'ve heard the talk. Lets publisize those truck and bus fleet that are using it successfully. Are they having financial returns which justify the change over? Bring the plan down to the nuts and bolts the user is interested in. Today gasoline is $2.00, but we know it won\'t last long. Lets give small fleet owners good financial reason to convert. Cars will not be converted for years. Push those areas where there is a near term payoff.

Great plan. John Wilson, Cookyville, Tenn.

The chief of staff for the Obama Administration is a big plus for the Pickens Plan. We need to get the Obama administration to reduce the EPA regulations for CNG conversion kits certification. Currently, in most foriegn countries cars are converted to CNG for aproximately $ 1,500. While in the USA the cost to convert a car to CNG is about $ 6,000. The large cost for conversion in the US is because of excessive regulation and testing requirements by the EPA for new CNG conversion kits.
