The idea of oil consumption driving oil prices is being used to obfuscate the real motives behind dropping prices which is to draw majority attention away from renewables.

Oil consumption is down by around 5% from last year. That tiny decline in demand does not justify a 60% drop in consumer prices.

In fact, decreased demand for diesel (which is cheaper than gasoline to produce), has not resulted in a decrease in price by an equal percentage. In addition, the demand for heating oil is offsetting the decrease in demand for gasoline and the price for heating oil is still over $3 per gallon.

Please lets get real here people.

T Boone should make a new video showing us his car.
He should show us how he charges it, how it works, the speed

Wind power
Pete Ferrell - http://thestory.org/archive/the_story_590_Wind_Power.mp3/view

The idea of using renewable energy has been bounced around by both presidential candidates. Their ads feature wind turbines, which they\'ve made a point of mentioning in their stump speeches.

Pete Ferrell is a fourth generation rancher, and sees himself as a steward of the land rather than a property owner. Since the late 1800s, his family has found ways to harness wind power. Now Pete has turned half his ranch into a wind farm. He tells Dick Gordon about the opposition he encountered along the way.

The PPD
Phil DuMas

Air travel is getting worse: missing bags, delayed flights and rising ticket prices. But sometimes it\'s the passengers who make travel difficult for themselves.

Phil DuMas was waiting to board a flight while drinking a huge cup of coffee. When he finally reached the ticket counter, he was doing what his family nicknames \"the pee pee dance.\" When the attendant asked him what was wrong, Phil explained he had a case of \"PPD.\" Little did he know that airline personnel understand PPD to mean \"paranoid personality disorder.\" Phil talks to Dick about the flight of a lifetime.

Boone is right but we still need a means of distributing the natural gas to bus and truck depots from coast to coast. The conduit cluster at the heart of the Interstate Traveler Hydrogen Superhighway can do that and at no cost to the gas companies!

Here’s what you can do right now: the presidential transition office has put out a call for ideas about the environment and economy. Send a quick email that you think that the Interstate Traveler Hydrogen Superhighway is a solid, readily available component in our larger national recovery. President-elect Obama already knows about the Interstate Traveler but needs a nudge in our direction to issue a public statement of support and to encourage his new cabinet secretaries, especially Bill Richardson at Commerce, to do likewise. Such a statement would free up investment capital to begin immediate construction of the prototype with full-scale implementation just a few months after that.

We have created a new video to help raise awareness:

Here’s the URL where you can submit your comment to the presidential transition office:

You also may enjoy listening to my telephone interviews with Justin Sutton, creator of the Interstate Traveler Hydrogen Superhighway. They cover the vision and the ancillary benefits including the Triage Traveler mobile trauma center, the Hydroponic Traveler, the Grand Arbor Traveler and the ability of the conduit cluster to replace aging and inefficient high-tension power lines.
