RADICAL TACTICS: 1) Invite Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the President of Iran, to Houston to attend an international natural gas truck and big rig, (vehicle), exposition. 2) Have Boone give a speech, have Reid shake the President of Iran's hand. Challenge President Ahmadinejad to a carbon reduction race via the use of natural gas in vehicles, primarily big rigs and trucking industry vehicles, short and long haul, (no really). Put the results of each nation online, on a social network just like the flash applet at the top right on the Pickens Plan splashpage, just like the oil imports widget that shows how much carbon has been reduced on average throughout their vehicle fleet due to natural gas fuel conversion, (yeah really). 3) Make sure President Ahmadinejad leaves Houston with a boat following him with natural gas truck parts, engineering and design data, a file of networking contacts and emails here in the United States to discuss and consult with on issues of converting and maintaining natural gas trucking fleets, etc ... the works. On that boat should be some support staff from one of our premiere institutions and when they return they will bring with them data and contacts and information on networkds to which our national security agencies have NEVER DREAMED of any sort of reliable or clear access. And this is our metaphorical boat to bring the mountains together. 4) Make no mistake, be sure President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gets several of the big, fluffy bathrobes that everybody loves. ROI: A startling picture of Boone and the President of Iran hunkered over a natural gas fired big rig truck engine with a couple a' grease monkey's in the picture all smiling. I could do this in Photoshop but I'm looking for something more realistic. President Obama gives a speech at this expo and at the very least one of President Obama's staff shakes President Ahmadinejad's hand at the event, on national T.V.. You want big rigs on natural gas? Think big, think extreme. Extreme, radical, natural gas transportation fuel public relations media, that's the ticket.

I certainly see the eventuality that poor nation states will sell the right to pollute within their borders as an incentive for 'dirty' industry. Nation States that demonstrate their ability to provide power for their needs at the lowest carbon output will become very, very valuable nations as the right to pollute that environment of that state will become very, very expensive. The cleaner the nation or nation state the more profit exists in playing the 'pay to pollute' game of carbon capping. So in my first post I want to tie this down. A race against the President of Iran to convert to the much cleaner burning fossil fuel, natural gas, could be a huge media event. Think extreme. Even an 'Onion' like announcement of this event would get a lot of hits.
