All This sounds Great but it seems we are still dependent on the goverment too make it
happen. I thank we need more people like Mr Boone to invest there money in some natural
gas ventures to show the goverment that this will be profitable and how to get it done
I thank they(The goverment) and others will come around once this has been accomplished.
Investors like to make money and the goverment likes to say it was there idea and money
that made it happen. So lets install more natural gas pumps at existing service stations so
people can afford to convert or buy vehicles for natural gas. By the way i like the GPS Suggestion summited by one the members.

Can\’t wait for OTR Big Rigs to be converted and utilized. Congress will surely balk and fall back on the need for refueling stations in the name of a \”comprehensive\” system.

We can\’t afford to let that happen. Natural gas tankers can be placed at existing open or even closed weigh stations until the fueling station faqcilities become available. Can even have smaller fueling trucks availableat these weigh stations to rescue the truckers who make the mistake of running out of natural gas.

All this seems like almost ready to go projects for stimulating the economy.

Boone, fleets that use natural gas are concentrated in cities where there are limited gas stations that provide natural gas. I think that natural gas cars for private citizens can also take off but some preparation is needed. First there should be some incentives for purchasing natural gas vehicles, for example tax credits. Second, I believe that the strategic placement of additional natural gas fueling stations would be desirable. Here in NJ, the most densely populated state, there is a general lack of coverage. Since this is the most densely populated state, it would be an ideal place to prime the revolution. With the strategic placement of relatively few fueling stations, millions of people could be covered. Another helpful approach would be to contact GPS companies such as Garmin, Magellan, Lowrance, TomTom, Furuno, Mio and ask them to create a category for natural gas fuel. This way folks will have an easy way to find fuel until such time as natural gas fuel is ubiquitous.

All of these vehicles need to be bi-fuel to extend thier range.The problem is the EPA rules on tax credits do not include bi-fuel.(see http://www.ngvc.org/pdfs/federal vehicle tax credit 0508.pdf)If we do not get THIS changed there are no incentives to do CNG conversions on our domestic vehicles. Untill gas stations have CNG, home refueling systems,that exist now,are our only option. If you go past your 1/2 way point for fuel you are in a pickle.HELP us all.NO TAX CREDIT equals NO CHANGE!!!Finally a BIG BOY is in the game!!YEEHAA
