The American Wind Energy Association Convention attracted over 21,000 people - that is not a typo - 21,000 people to its convention in Chicago earlier this week. Reporter Maria Surma Manka posted a summary of a conversation with Boone which she described:

T. Boone Pickens was the clear star of yesterday’s morning session. The 80-year-old Texas oilman/billionaire-turned-wind power-advocate was funny, sharp, and clearly had the crowd’s attention.
